Solar & Under-floor Heating

The Vaillant auroTHERM exclusive vacuum tube solar collector have been designed to give maximum energy absorption. As the collectors work on diffused solar radiation as well as direct sunlight, they will even generate small amounts of energy on partially cloudy days. Multiple panels can easily be fitted together as required for larger systems.

Optimum efficiency              Uses indirect solar radiation, not just sunlight

Reduction in fuel bills            Can provide around 50-60% of annual                                                 domestic hot water requirements

Reduces CO2 emissions         Positive benefit to the environment

Efficient, durable and stylish  Adds value to your property

Underfloor heating eliminates radiators, giving you more space and offers a gentle, economic form of heating which dovetails perfectly with a Solar Thermal system.

Low Carbon Buildings Programme

David A. Farrer Ltd was an approved installer on the previous DTI ‘Clear Skies programme which was free for installers to join.  When the new fees came into force for installers on the scheme in 2007, the cost of membership - £1800 initial fee and £650 assessment per day, (possibly up to 5 days inspection each year) and a yearly listing fee of £350 outweighed the feasibility of our staying on the scheme.  These fees are how your  £600 grant has been generated so nothing is actually gained since our costs have risen to match.

Please be assured that we install to the highest quality and can now price effectively against any firm listed on the Low Carbon Buildings Programme even with the £600 cash back!  Saving you the trouble of applying and all that paperwork.

Heat Recovery - either ground source or air recovery systems are becoming increasingly popular because they offer a longterm system to make use of ‘free’ energy which has virtually no maintenance issues.  Please contact us for more details.
